Not All Fidesz Voters In Budapest Like Stadiums
More than half of Budapest citizens think that Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s interests are the most important consideration for mayor István Tarlós, according to a survey carried out by Závecz Research, commissioned by Népszava.

The research centre also asked 500 Budapest residents whether they agree with opposition challenger Gergely Karácsony that no more stadiums should be built in Budapest until there is at least one medical CT scanner in each district.

Závecz found that 73% of residents – including 37% of Fidesz voters – agree with Karácsony on this.

Prime Minister’s Office leader Gergely Gulyás recently warned that subsidies to the city can only be maintained if Tarlós stays in office.

Some 21% of Fidesz voters disagreed with the idea that funding might be allocated politically rather than for urban development.
