Hungary Earmarks HUF 35 Billion For Education Development In Debrecen

The programme aims to help provide well-trained workforce to meet investors’ labour needs in the region, the innovation and technology ministry said in a statement.
It includes setting up an automotive laboratory and a technical faculty wing at the Debrecen University, and launching technician training in local vocational education next September.
The programme also includes building a German-language primary and secondary school, the ministry said. It will also facilitate dual education in local schools under an upgraded curriculum.
German carmaker BMW will start building a new-generation plant in Debrecen next spring.
The government has already launched a 130 billion forint local infrastructure development programme aimed at turning the region into an international business, education and innovation hub, the ministry said.
