Old HUF 10,000 Notes No Longer Valid

From January 1, 2020 the old Ft 10,000 banknote ceases to be legal tender, HVG recalls, warning consumers that these notes cannot be used after December 31.
Old notes can be returned and changed at banks and post offices for three years. In addition, the MNB will exchange them without charge for 20 years.
With the withdrawal from circulation of the old Ft 10,000 notes, the MNB completes its banknote renewal programme begun five years ago.
