United Way Hungary Charity Dinner, 17 November

United Way Hungary traditionally hosts a Gala event toward the end of the year to thank their donors for their support and give them an overview of the social issues they plan to focus on for the upcoming period.
Funds raised during this year’s event will be spent on programs helping children and youth – especially those of underprivileged families – boost their academic performance and become self-sustaining adults through improved reading, comprehension and financial literacy as well as employment and entrepreneurship skills.
Guests at the 35 tables will be dedicated visionary leaders of the corporate and civic sectors who demonstrate philanthropic leadership through actions.
They are actively committed to finding solutions to the problems at hand and creating lasting changes in their communities.
Program:
6:30 p.m. Arrival
7:30 p.m. Welcome speeches
8:00 p.m. Dinner and cocktail bar
9:30 p.m. Guest performer
10:00 p.m. Charity auction
11:00 p.m. End of event
The evening will be hosted by Krisztina Bombera and Daniel J. Poisson. Live background music will be provided by Kata Jaksity and the Joe Fritz Jazz Band.
