TikTok Under Investigation By Hungarian Competition Authority
The GVH has launched an investigation into video sharing service provider TikTok, alleging that the social media operator provided incomplete information to customers, the competition authority announced on Thursday.

According to the GVH, it is likely that the company did not provide consumers with relevant information on the operation of the online platform, such as the scope and purpose of data collected from subscribers, in accordance with the principles of good faith and fairness.

In addition, TikTok has not provided information in Hungarian for Hungarian consumers about important features of the service.

The GVH also suspects that the company failed to properly moderate content available to minors and young persons.

According to the law, the authority has three months to complete its investigation, but this can twice be extended for two months.
