Hungarian Government Says 'Committed To Press Freedom' Regarding Index.Hu Case
Commenting on reports that news portal Index may come under increasing pressure to toe the government’s line following the resignation of is chief executive, the prime minister’s chief of staff, Gergely Gulyás, said the government was committed to upholding press freedom guaranteed by the country’s constitution and media law.

Gulyás underlined the importance of a diverse media landscape, saying that he believed Hungary had greater media diversity than western European countries.
