Opposition DK Raises Concern Over Holding Super Cup
The opposition Democratic Coalition (DK) has accused the government of “giving priority” to the European Super Cup soccer match to be held in Hungary over the health of local residents.

DK spokesman Balázs Barkóczi told an online press conference that DK considered it unacceptable that thousands of foreign football fans will be allowed to enter Hungary if they show negative coronavirus test results taken in their home country.

At the same time, Hungarians returning from abroad must pay for expensive testing in Hungary and are not allowed to present test results taken abroad, he added.

He said DK had contacted UEFA to find out who had approved the Super Cup and what the organisation would do to guarantee fans’ security.
