Global Soft Drink Maker To Test Paper Bottles In Hungary
Coca-Cola will start European testing of its new paper bottles in Hungary in the second quarter of this year, the global soft drink maker announced on Thursday.

The innovative paper bottle has been developed with Danish start-up Paper Bottle Company (Paboco).

About 2,000 paper bottles containing the plant-based drink AdeZ will be sold to Hungarian consumers as a test.

The product will be distributed by Kifli.hu, one of the fastest-growing online food retailers in Hungary.

People expect Coca-Cola to develop and launch new, innovative and sustainable packaging materials, said European marketing director of nutrition products Katalin Halász.

The project is part of the company’s World Without Waste programme, which aims to collect and recycle all bottles and cans by 2030.
