Overly mild weather in Hungary is harmful to the country’s agriculture, the National Meteorological Service announced on its website.
The Democratic Coalition opposition party has accused Prime Minister Viktor Orbán of striking a “dirty deal” with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Hungarian gas reserves were “running dry” as a result.
Every effort must be made to avoid a direct armed conflict between NATO and Russia, the Hungarian foreign minister has said, arguing that an escalation of hostilities could affect territories in the immediate neighbourhood.
PM Orban has said that his country will not support the EU plan to provide Ukraine with a $18.6 billion aid package next year. He said while Hungary condemns Russia’s war, he is not willing to put Ukraine’s interests before those of his own country.
