Hungarian folk music, dance and contemporary art will appear in the Buda Castle District as the House of Traditions launches its first Swallow Festival, bringing concerts, performances, exhibitions, workshops and outdoor activities to the area around Corvin Square and the Buda Redoute.

The 83rd Venice International Film Festival begins this week featuring several Hungarian works, including world premieres of the latest works by Lili Horvath, Kornel Mundruczo and Gabor Reisz, as well as a co-production by Lydia Cornett with Hungarian filmmakers.

Registration has officially opened for the 44th Lidl Balaton Cross-Swim, and the "Hungarian Sea" is already seeing a surge of interest. Despite winter only recently bowing out, over 2,600 participants signed up within the first 24 hours, with registrations surpassing the 5,000 mark in just two days.
