This opening is being delivered in partnership with Cédrus Liget, who chose the IWG flexible workspace platform and has entered into a management agreement with the Regus brand.
Szeged, one of the biggest cities in Hungary, is one of the fastest-growing regional locations. Demand for workspaces in the area has performed strongly, with the number of inquiries for space in IWG locations continuing to sharply increase.
The building owners decided to invest in the IWG platform to maximize the return on their real estate space by capitalizing on the rapidly expanding demand for hybrid working. With an annual investment of around GBP 50 million into its technology platform, IWG provides partners with access to the company’s expertise as well as design and fit-out support and sales and marketing capabilities.
According to the press release, the location encapsulates the "15-Minute Commute" – an increasingly popular concept, whereby all needs including housing, shopping, healthcare, and work facilities are within a 15-minute radius.
The different working options are also an essential part of the concept, as they are the ones that could be implemented fastest and are generally welcomed by employees.
The new Regus location will include facilities including private offices, meeting rooms, co-working, and creative spaces.
Situated on Bakay Nándor utca in Szeged, this new Cédrus Liget location is part of a drive by IWG to meet the sharply rising demand for top-class flexible working space in Hungary's southern area.
The office building is easily approachable via a 10-minute walk from the city's pedestrian streets, a 6-12 minute walk from the university faculties, and a 2-minute walk from the city's largest shopping center.
The building will provide space for both established firms and startups across a wide range of industries, while IWG’s "Design Your Own Office" service allows companies to tailor their space entirely to their requirements.
Mark Dixon, CEO & founder of IWG, comments, “We are establishing a stronger and much-needed footprint in Szeged with this latest opening. As an important business hub, Szeged is a fantastic place for us to boost our expansion plans.
The need for high-quality flexible workspaces continues to soar as hybrid working becomes the new normal. We are very pleased to work in partnership with Cédrus Liget to develop the Regus brand under a management agreement that will add a cutting-edge workspace to their building.
“Our opening in Szeged comes at a time when more and more companies are discovering that flexible working boosts employee happiness and satisfaction while helping the environment. Our workplace model is also proven to increase productivity and allows for a business to scale up or down at significantly reduced costs,” he adds.
Chu Phan Huang, leader of Cédrus Liget, added, “We are delighted that IWG’s hybrid working solutions brand, Regus has chosen our facility to set up its new center. Our unique location at the gate of Szeged city center created a high demand for a top-quality working space for the companies and their workers in this area and by the partnership with Regus brand we can fully meet the demands increasing the value of the facility and the provided services even further.”
