Clear-Up for Needy: Volunteers Fill 38 Vehicles with Camping Equipment Left at Sziget Budapest
Around 700 tents and camping equipment left behind at the Sziget Festival are being donated to those in need, the Hungarian Maltese Charity Service said.

Volunteers of various charities, NGOs and the Maltese Charity filled up 38 cars and vans with tents, inflatable mattresses, sleeping bags and camping chairs.

The festival’s organisers encouraged festival-goers to leave their camping equipment behind or take it to the tent of the Maltese Charity Service.

Since 2018, the charity has cooperated with the festival to ensure that camping equipment does not go to waste.

The tents and other equipment are cleaned up, mended, and given to needy children and the homeless, the charity said in a press release.
