Housing Market Turnover 36% Higher in Hungary
Housing market turnover was 36% higher between January-March 2024 than a year earlier, according to the latest summary from the Central Statistical Office (KSH), based on preliminary data.

With the increase in demand, the average prices on the housing market also rose, compared to the previous quarter by 4.6% for new constructions.

The price increase was approximately 5.3% for used apartments over the same period.

Since the rise in prices increasingly exceeded inflation by the beginning of this year, real prices also grew faster.

New homes were 10% higher and used ones were 4.4% higher than a year earlier.
