Revolut Bank CEO Visits Hungary, Why?
National Economy Minister Marton Nagy met with executives of Revolut Bank at his office in Budapest on Thursday, his ministry said.

Mr Nagy met with Revolut Bank CEO Joseph Heneghan and deputy-CEO Vytautas Danta, as well as with Tamas Leder, the managing director of the financial services provider's Hungarian unit.

Mr Nagy highlighted the importance of digitalisation for the future of local financial services at the meeting, but said consumers and consumer protection was the priority.

He added that Revolut was expected to operate in a transparent matter, in compliance with regulations, and pay all of its tax liabilities.

Revolut has 45m users -- including 1.5m in Hungary -- and half a million business partners worldwide.
