Strong Demand for Corporate EV Subsidy in Hungary
More than 4,400 businesses have applied to purchase 5,200 vehicles under the state subsidised EV programme with Ft 30 billion in funding, the Energy Ministry said in a statement.

Companies can apply for state grants for the purchase of fully electric cars, trucks, or minibuses until March 2025.

The programme, funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan under REPowerEU, provides grants of Ft 2.8-4 million per vehicle, depending on battery capacity, with a Ft 64 million cap per company.

As of November, 68,000 fully electric cars have received green plates in Hungary, a significant increase since 2020.
