Nurse Known as 'Black Angel of Pecs' Sentenced to Over 12 Years in Hungarian Jail
A clinical nurse known as the "Black Angel of Pecs" was sentenced to 12.5 years in prison, without the possibility of parole, for causing the death of a coronavirus patient in 2022, the Pecs Regional Court of Appeal said on Friday.

The binding ruling also bans the male convict from ever working as a nurse again.

The man started working at the Clinic of Internal Medicine in Pecs, in southern Hungary, in November 2022.

On Dec 17, he administered a lethal dose of potassium to an 82-year-old patient battling pneumonia resulting from a coronavirus infection.

The man died of heart failure within 2 hours from potassium poisoning.
