Boss of Hungarian Tourism Board Now Also Appointed Head of State-Owned Lottery Company
Marton Guller, who heads the Hungarian Tourism Agency, has been appointed chairman-CEO of state-owned lottery company Szerencsejatek by National Economy Minister Marton Nagy, his ministry said.

Effective March 5, Guller will replace Andrea Mager who has been elected an external member of the National Bank of Hungary's rate-setting Monetary Council.

Guller will remain at the helm of the tourism agency.

About Dr Zoltán Guller:

He earned his law degree with distinction from Eötvös Loránd University’s Faculty of Law and Political Sciences in 2000. His professional career began as Deputy Director at Educatio Kht., followed by a directorial role at Multinova Kft.

He then worked as a trainee lawyer in Budapest before serving for more than seven and a half years as a director at Commitment Kft./Zrt. In 2010-2011, he held the position of Head of Department at the Ministry of National Development.

Throughout his career, he has taken on executive director roles at Humán Jövő Közhasznú Nonprofit Kft. and Nemzeti Üdülési Szolgálat Kft. From 2011 to 2012, he was the CEO of Hunguest Vagyonkezelő Zrt., and since 2012, he has served as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Hungarian National Holiday Foundation.

He has been actively involved in various state administration sectors, including the Ministry of Public Administration and Justice (2012-2014), the Ministry of Human Resources (2014-2016), the Ministry of National Development (2016-2018), and the Prime Minister's Cabinet Office (since 2018) as a ministerial commissioner.

From 2016 to 2022, he served as the CEO of the Hungarian Tourism Agency and from 2022 to 2024, as the CEO of the Digital Hungary Agency. Until 2023, he was also a ministerial commissioner responsible for the operation and development of unified, transparent, and structured government IT and e-governance.

Currently, he is the Chairman of the Board of the Hungarian Tourism Agency and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Budapest Business University Foundation.
