Hungary & Slovakia Team Up to Restore Border Habitats

The Pilis, Ferto lake, and Polana Biosphere Reserves will participate in the programme directly, Peter Meszaros, Pilis Park Forest's spokesman, said on Monday, adding that Aggtelek and Slovak Karst Biosphere Reserves will be professional cooperation partners during the 2.5 year project.
Also, environmental education projects will be launched, and trails and visitor centers established in the Polana and Pilis Biosphere Reserves.
Pilis Park Forest, the sole park forest enterprise in Hungary, manages 65,000 hectares in Pest and Komarom-Esztergom counties in the Gerecse, Pilis, Visegrad and Buda hills, the Godollo hills and the Csepel plains, he noted.
