Power Outages Hit Many Households in Hungary After Massive Storm
An estimated 150,000 customers were affected by widespread power outages following severe thunderstorms yesterday, state-owned energy group MVM, reported.

The company cited around 80 faults on medium-voltage networks across the country.

Among the worst-hit areas were Baja, Kecskemét and Szeged in the south, where storm-related damage disrupted electricity lines.

More severe disruptions were reported in northern Hungary, particularly in the regions around Gyöngyös and Eger, where infrastructure damage was described as substantial.
