Sziget Festival Announces New Names: Bring Me The Horizon, Zara Larsson, Parcels & More
Budapest’s iconic Sziget Festival has revealed a major new round of performers for its 2026 edition, adding more than 40 acts across multiple genres and significantly strengthening what is already shaping up to be one of the summer’s most diverse festival programmes.

The organisers released the new names via an official announcement video, confirming that the “Island of Freedom” will once again host an eclectic mix of headline-level international artists, electronic music heavyweights, and popular Hungarian performers when the festival returns to Óbuda Island between 11 and 15 August 2026.

Second Wave Adds Big International Names

Among the most eye-catching additions are British rock giants Bring Me The Horizon, Swedish pop superstar Zara Larsson, UK alternative rock favourites Wolf Alice, and acclaimed British rapper Loyle Carner. These artists join the festival’s previously announced headline acts and further reinforce Sziget’s reputation for balancing commercial crowd-pleasers with critically respected performers.

Bring Me The Horizon arrive in Budapest following a hugely successful global touring cycle and continued growth into a stadium-level live act. Zara Larsson, whose recent Midnight Sun album boosted her status as one of contemporary pop’s most recognisable voices, is also expected to deliver a visually dynamic, high-energy performance.

Wolf Alice are returning to Sziget for the first time since 2018, touring behind their recent album The Clearing, while Loyle Carner brings one of modern UK hip-hop’s most distinctive and socially conscious sounds, backed by an international fan base and over a billion global streams.

Expanding Genre Diversity Across the Festival

Beyond the headline-level additions, organisers have announced a wide-ranging list of performers spanning electronic music, indie, alternative rock and emerging global pop.

New international acts confirmed include Parcels, Nia Archives, Richie Hawtin, Nation Of Language, Rose Gray, Sub Focus, Vintage Culture, Boys Noize, Dixon, Perturbator, Sara Landry, Dimension and WhoMadeWho, alongside Australian electronic crossover artist Chet Faker.

The line-up also features a strong Hungarian presence, with artists such as Beton.Hofi, Analog Balaton, Ivan & The Parazol and Mehringer representing the local music scene and highlighting Sziget’s continued commitment to showcasing domestic talent alongside global stars.

Building on a Strong First Announcement

The newly announced performers complement an already impressive first wave of acts unveiled late last year. That earlier announcement confirmed major headliners including Florence + The Machine, Lewis Capaldi, Twenty One Pilots and Sombr, along with popular names such as Biffy Clyro, bbno$ and Underworld.

Electronic music will also remain a core element of the festival’s identity, with artists such as Dom Dolla, Joris Voorn and Pan-Pot among those previously revealed, ensuring a strong club and techno presence across Sziget’s numerous stages.

Organisers Confident Despite Late Start

Festival founder Károly Gerendai acknowledged that the 2026 planning cycle began later than usual, raising initial concerns about securing major international acts. However, he has since expressed confidence that the current programme compares strongly with leading festivals across Europe and globally.

The growing line-up supports that claim, blending commercially successful chart acts, critically acclaimed alternative performers, and a wide selection of electronic artists, which has long been one of Sziget’s defining characteristics.

Tickets and Visitor Information

Five-day passes for Sziget 2026 are already on sale, with prices starting from around €309, while shorter three-day passes are also available. Organisers are expected to announce additional supporting acts and cultural programme elements in the coming months.

Held annually on Óbuda Island, Sziget attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors from across Europe and beyond, transforming the Danube island into a temporary multicultural hub combining music, arts, performance and community experiences.

With its steadily expanding programme and strong mix of international and local talent, Sziget 2026 is once again positioning Budapest as one of Europe’s premier summer festival destinations.

Editors have never been a band who do what’s expected. When they emerged in the early 2000s, university friends from Birmingham, they were swept into a wave of indie groups with whom they had little in common beyond playing guitars.
