Time Capsule Marks Start of HUF 4.3 Billion IT Knowledge Centre in Budapest

A time capsule was sealed at a HUF 4.3bn IT knowledge centre in Budapest. Culture and Innovation Minister Balazs Hanko said the centre was one of five being established with funding of HUF 21.6bn.

The other centres will focus on the food, electronics, automotive and machinery industries, he added.

The IT knowledge centre is hosted by the Budapest Technical Vocational Training Centre (BMSZC).

Mihaly Viszkok, BMSZC's chancellor, said the more than 3,000sqm centre would be outfitted with cutting edge technology and focus on practical training in AI and robotics.

The knowledge centre will be completed by the end of 2028.
