He has held the position since July 2020. Following the federation’s regular general meeting on Friday, an extraordinary general meeting will be convened to elect new officials and decide on the next leadership setup.

The announcement marks the end of Lázár’s nearly six-year tenure at the helm of the federation. During that period, he oversaw the organisation through a challenging phase for Hungarian tennis, including efforts to maintain stability and support the sport’s development.

The upcoming leadership change is expected to open a new chapter for the federation as it prepares to choose its next president and senior officials.
