Private Person Fined HUF 600 Million for Unlicensed Crypto Investment Activity in Hungary
The National Bank of Hungary (NBH) has fined a private individual HUF 600m for offering cryptocurrency investments without a licence, the central bank and financial market watchdog said on Thursday.

More than 150 people "lent" "several billion forints" to the individual with the hope of high yields. In reality, the individual invested a "negligible" amount of the money in cryptocurreny, while using it to cover his own expenses.

The NBH revealed the name and the address of the individual in its resolution and urged investors who had done business with him to file a report with the police.
