Home Sales Drop Steeply in Hungary

Home sales in Hungary fell 29pc year-on-year to 8,077 in August, a monthly estimate by listed real estate broker Duna House shows.

For the period January-August, home sales fell 12.3pc year-on-year to 73,923.

Data from Duna House group member Credipass show mortgage outlays came to HUF 255bn in August, surging 141.3pc from the same month a year earlier on demand generated by the Home Start subsidised credit scheme for first-time home buyers.
