M1 Metro: Photos Along The Millennium Underground In Budapest

Built at the end of the 19th century M1 was the first underground line on the European Continent (the second in the world). Most station entrances and the notices on the walls are copies of the originals.

It runs between Vörösmarty tér (city centre) and Mexikói út connecting the city centre with Budapest City Park. Pictures by Pályi Zsófia for our partner origo.hu
