Frank Hegedűs is the Chaplain and Area Dean at Saint Margaret’s Anglican Church in Budapest. Originally from Michigan, he served churches throughout the US Midwest and California before coming to Budapest in 2011. His father was born in a small village in Eastern Hungary before emigrating to the US a very long time ago.

Meditation – or contemplative prayer – has always been part of Christian worship, although it has sadly been neglected in recent times. Since the 1980s, the ecumenical Worldwide Community for Christian Meditation has nevertheless attempted to reintroduce Christian groups to the spiritual benefits of meditation.

Back-to-School equates to Back-to-Sunday-School at Saint Margaret's Anglican Church in Budapest. “Our youngsters really seem to enjoy our varied programme,” says the Rev. Dr. Frank Hegedűs, the Church’s priest and chaplain. “It is dynamic and based upon the Sunday Scripture lessons each week.”

On Friday, 18th December, at Seven O’clock in the Evening at the Fasori Evangélikus Templom, Városligeti fasor 17. Bring Friends, Family, Neighbours. Children are most welcome. The service lasts just over one hour. A free-will offering is asked.

Our guest speaker is journalist Kester Eddy. The suggested donation for the dinner is 10,000 HUF per person.
