The fifth Liszt Fest International Cultural Festival will once again take centre stage in Budapest this autumn, bringing together leading figures from classical and contemporary music while also embracing cross-genre collaborations and a wide spectrum of the arts. It has been 340 years since the birth of Johann Sebastian Bach. To mark the occasion, Müpa is embarking on a 24-hour Bach ‘shift’, now for the second time. From 9 pm on 2 May to 9 pm on 3 May, name Hungarian and international organists will perform all of Bach’s organ works following a carefully structured thematic timeline.
