The report noted that no extraordinary events occurred in the social care system since the last update.

In health care, one case of heat-related treatment was reported on Wednesday afternoon.

In transport, temporary speed restrictions are in effect on 20 railway lines and 5 suburban rail lines due to high track temperatures.

Several heat records broken on Wednesday

Several heat records were broken on Wednesday, the weather service HugaroMet said on its website.

The record for the highest minimum temperature ever recorded was broken on Janos Hill in Budapest, where the air cooled to just 28 degrees Celsius by morning.

This figure also marks a new record for the highest daily minimum temperature in the capital and across the country.
