Former professional WNBA basketball player Sue Wicks visited Budapest to open and attend the 2012 EuroGames, a European-wide LGBT sports competition. Additionally, she spoke to different audiences about sports, leadership and the importance of tolerance.

Whether it was the first attempt at a new sport, or a newfound friendship, everybody came away from the Sports Center on June 16 with a cherished memory. The event, part of the „Road to London” Olympics event series and organized jointly by Seedling Trust and the Hungarian Special Olympics Committee, gave its participants a great day of sports, games and getting to know each other.

This is a wonderful opportunity to come along to the biggest horse race in Hungary. This is the fifth year the Irish Hungarian Business Circle have organised this special 'Day at the Races' fun event, and this year also promises to be a great day of entertainment. Last week I beat an Olympic champion at tennis. OK, an ex-Olympic champion. A water-polo ex-Olympic champion. And it was Wii tennis (the video game). And he’d never played before. But a win’s a win, right? It was at a fantastic event which the Embassy supported. A competition for able-bodied children and children with disabilities to celebrate 100 days to go to the London Olympics.
