In France there are around 12,000 horse races a year, the UK averages around 10,000, and in Scandinavia 'harness racing' is huge. And here in Budapest? Not all expats know about the opportunity to enjoy a day or two at the races most weekends, as Kincsem Park hosts harness racing on the Saturday and flat racing on the Sunday.

Balaton Sound is happy to announce more names in the already prestigious line-up. The 5 days festival organized on the beach of Lake Balaton will celebrate its 10th edition this year featuring the biggest electronic and hiphop names. This time Chris Brown, Steve Aoki, Deorro, Ellen Allien and many more have been added to the program. Balaton Sound is held in Zamárdi between 6-10 July.

The Lánchíd bridge was blocked by demonstrating taxis this morning. Approximately 1,000 Hungarian taxis are expected to close the main roads of Budapest today in a demonstration against ride-sharing services, which they claim still operate unlawfully in the capital because of lack of effective government action, according to reports.
