The UN International Telecommunication Union will hold its annual conference in Budapest this autumn, Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó told a meeting of ambassadors and diplomats. Mobile data traffic in Hungary rose by an annual 35% in the fourth quarter, lifted by infrastructural developments and the growing number of smartphones, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said. In absolute terms, mobile data traffic reached 9,135 terabytes in the last quarter of 2014, still a fraction of the 274,428 terabytes of downloads and 146,849 terabytes of uploads using fixed lines.
