Consumer protection checks and controls have been continuous since the price caps on specified foods were introduced and more than Ft 1 billion in fines have been meted out by the authorities, “which sends a message to shops that it is not worth playing tricks”, government spokeswoman Alexandra Szentkirályi stressed at a press conference.
