‘Verzió’ Documentary Film Festival Starts Soon

Over a hundred films from 44 countries will be screened at the 2017 “Verzió” documentary film festival from November 14 to 25 in Budapest, Szeged and Pécs. The festival opens with Zaradasht Ahmed’s “Nowhere to Hide”, winner of the Amsterdam International Documentary Film Festival.

Huber, Andrea Kalinová and Csaba Nemes represent architecture, in different languages, as a synthesis between individual memory–a subjective experience that can produce feelings like melancholia or nostalgia for an irrecoverable past–and collective memory consisting of political, economic and social events.

Due to the prolonged works, the neighbourhood lost plenty of its liveability, the market hall became abandoned and square was only used for bypassing.
