The 14th “Verzió” International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival focuses on the human dimensions of political, social, economic and environmental crises, with several works showing the wars in Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria through the eyes of refugees, director Oksana Sarkisova said.
The opening film “Nowhere to Hide” documents the work of nurse Nori Sharif in one of the world’s most dangerous and inaccessible areas, the “triangle of death” in central Iraq. The festival will be held in Budapest from November 14 to 19 and the southern Hungarian cities of Szeged and Pécs from November 23 to 25.
