Cardinal Péter Erdő, Archbishop of Esztergom-Budapest, told online news portal Index in an interview that the Catholic Church was involved in many activities to help migrants, such as supplying food and medical aid, as well as psychological support to youngsters. Through Caritas Hungarica, the church has also offered equipment to organisations dealing with minors, he added.
