Migrants Board Buses After Fleeing Collection Point In Hungary
Migrants who earlier broke out of a registration point near Röszke on the border with Serbia have boarded buses organised by police. A group of 100-150 migrants, including families with children, broke through a line of police officers on Tuesday afternoon, and ran towards road 5, MTI’s local correspondent said from the site. The group was stopped near a railway crossing at Szeged- Kecskés station, some 10 kilometres from the registration point.

About 100 police officers were deployed in the operation, the correspondent said.

By Tuesday evening police had convinced the migrants to board buses bound for Kiskunhalas (S) and Békéscsaba (SE).

They said they “did not trust policemen” and asked for journalists to travel with them.

A similar situation happened on Monday involving a group of 50 men who were confronted by police when they tried to break out of the collection point near the border.
