In the late 1930s, Europe teetered on the verge of what would soon become The 1939-1945 War, or to Americans, the Second World War. Out in Hungary, one newspaper editor was frustrated. He wasted far too much time filling up fountain pens and cleaning up smudged pages. He was annoyed that the sharp tip of his fountain pen often tore the paper.
State Subsidy For County Museums In Hungary

About Ft 17.6 billion will be available next year for municipal councils to subsidise museums, culture state secretary Laszlo L. Simon told on a press briefing. He said Ft 2.2 billion will be available for county museums, Ft 2.9 billion for libraries as well as Ft 1.7 billion for small village libraries. Some Ft 10.5 billion will be available for towns to spend on museums and public culture.

An exhibition of contemporary Chinese works at the Museum of Fine Arts will open to visitors for a month starting today. The exhibition arranged by the Chinese National Art Museum presents 120 sculptures, oil paintings, graphic designs and woodcuts by 125 artists.
