Diófa Alapkezelõ, the asset manager of property fund Magyar Posta Takarék, purchased 10 shopping malls for the fund in one transaction. The malls are located in Pécs, Dunaújváros, Székesfehérvár, Szombathely, Ajka, Szentes, Kazincbarcika, Kiskunhalas, Esztergom and Budakeszi.

A €133.3 million state subsidy given by Hungary to the expansion of the Audi car factory in Gyõr was in line with EU regulations, the European Commission said on Monday after completing a detailed examination. The €1.2 billion project creating 2,100 jobs made a significant contribution to the development of a disadvantaged region, the Commission said.

Budapest has one less rival in the bid to host the 2024 Summer Olympics as 52% of voters in a Sunday referendum in Hamburg voted against bidding to stage the competition. The remaining candidates are Los Angeles, Paris and Rome, along with Budapest. The International Olympic Committee will select the winner in 2017.
