Influenza activity remains low in Hungary, with some 8,200 people having made doctor visits with flu-like symptoms in the last week of 2016, according to a fresh report published by the National Centre for Epidemiology (OEK).
Hungary Could Need EUR 3.8 Bn New Borrowing In 2017

The gross financing requirement for 2017 of the Hungarian state will be 7.844 trillion forints (EUR 25.4bn); of this amount, 1.166 trillion forints will represent new borrowing while 6.678 trillion forints will be needed for credit renewals, Economy Minister Mihály Varga and Government Debt Management Agency (AKK) CEO György Barcza announced at a press conference on Wednesday.

Ten Injured In Budapest Metro Train Collision

Two metro trains collided on Budapest’s M2 line early on Monday, injuring ten people, Máté Kisdi, a spokesman for Budapest’s disaster management authority said. The accident happened after one train travelling in the direction of Déli railway station caught up with and ran into the back of another. Both trains were carrying passengers.
