Hungary's annual festival of chocolate and sweets will be held for at Millenáris in Buda, this year it's all focused on dark chocolate. Switzerland is the guest country at this the 3rd such sweet event, and will exhibit world famous Swiss chocolates, plus several sweets manufactures from Switzerland will introduce themselves and aim to entertain visitors with lectures and product demos.

Fish has always played an important part in the people’s diet in Szeged and since 1997 there has been a fish festival organised by the city. The place of the event is at the foot of the Old Bridge where there used to be the fish market. It is organised on the first weekend of September.

Fülemüle (Nightingale) Restaurant’s cooking strengths range from special home-made smoked meats, to stuffed goose-neck, along with perfectly cooked Argentine Angus steak for those with an international taste. For dessert, their walnut-crusted Matzah balls with chocolate coating are always good, as are the locally inspired sweet-noodles with apple, walnut, and poppy-seeds.
