The number of flu patients has doubled since last week, over 31,000 people seeking medical advice, epidemiology centre OEK reported. In the second half of the week, the number of patients seeing their doctors because of flu-like symptoms has increased in all parts of the country, OEK said.

A flu epidemic has broken out in Hungary, the National Epidemiology Centre (OEC) announced on Wednesday. According to doctors’ reports monitored by OEC, more than 16,000 patients sought medical treatment for flu symptoms last week, twice as many as during the previous week.
