Miguel left his home country – Portugal - at the age of 20 to go to England and study Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management at the City of London College. During the second year of the same course Miguel was lucky enough to find what he believes is his vocation in one cooking class.

During the course of his visit to Warsaw, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán met Polish university students while giving a lecture at the University of Warsaw. The audience of about 200 people, comprising students and lecturers, welcomed him with a large round of applause.
Costes Budapest Wins 'Best Restaurant', Again

Costes has once more been awarded the accolade of 'Best Restaurant 2012' by the local Dining Guide publication. This is the second time the restaurant has won this prize, the most prestigious award in the Hungarian gastronomy scene. The prize was received by expat chef Miguel Viera Rocha, and Károly Gerendai the main owner of Costes.
