Hungarian writer, poet and politician Sándor Csoóri has died at the age of 86 after a long illness, the Government Information Office told MTI. Born in Zámoly in central Hungary on February 3, 1930, Csoóri was a fiction writer and poet, as well as an essayist and screenwriter.

Two new venues were added to this year's festival, two beautiful synagogues: one on Bethlen square and one in Hegedűs Gyula street. Organisers told XpatLoop, "this year’s multi-arts festival will have a wide variety of events featuring literature, music, dance, and children’s show for the youngest audience."
