Britain is wrong to leave the EU, but the EU is to blame for the Brexit vote, a 60% majority of Hungarians told the government-linked Századvég institute in a recent survey. Most respondents, 69%, agreed that Great Britain is leaving because the EU does not listen to the public on critical matters such as illegal immigration. One-fourth said the decision to leave the EU has another cause.

The result of that study showed that it was mostly Jobbik voters who had a strong predilection for believing in theories suggesting that secret forces are responsible for the state of our world.

Two-thirds of Hungary’s homeless people reside in the countryside and their conditions are continuously deteriorating, the head of the Shelter Foundation said citing a recent survey carried out among Hungary’s rough sleepers. Péter Győri said that out of the 10,206 homeless people the foundation surveyed in February, 3,968 lived in Budapest and 6,238 in the countryside.
