Pavillon de Paris opened its doors in 2010 taking over from the Jardin de Paris located just opposite to the French Institute in the tiny “French quarter” just minutes away from the Chain Bridge. The elegant Parisian style restaurant offers French specialities such as goose liver (foie gras) as a starter, salmon tartare or the sheer duck breast (magret de canard) with honey and lavender sauce.

Sometimes shops are given names that doesn’t exactly describe what is actually is. That is the truth for the Chocolate museum (original name: Csokolade muzeum) located in Corvin shopping center. It is a great place for chocolate lovers, but I guess the reality is that the place is more of a chocolate shop than a chocolate museum.

Fülemüle (Nightingale) Restaurant’s cooking strengths range from special home-made smoked meats, to stuffed goose-neck, along with perfectly cooked Argentine Angus steak for those with an international taste. For dessert, their walnut-crusted Matzah balls with chocolate coating are always good, as are the locally inspired sweet-noodles with apple, walnut, and poppy-seeds.
