A new mineral, discovered by an amateur researcher in Rudabánya, in northeast Hungary, has been recognised as a new mineral species by the International Mineralogical Association (IMA), the Ottó Herman Museum of Miskolc said.

One must never forget the fate of those deported to Soviet forced labour camps of the Gulag during and after WWII, the state secretary for Hungarian communities abroad said on Monday. János Árpád Potápi launched a series of programmes before the official ending of the Gulag memorial year on February 25, a memorial day of martyrs of communism, in the House of Hungarians in the Buda Castle.

A Hungarian table calendar tells you whose name day it is, and just to make sure every morning the radio announcer congratulates those who are celebrating their name day. In addition a little sign at the florist’s reminds you about the day’s name just in case you forgot.
