Half of Drivers in Hungary Use 16+ Year Old Autos
Some 51% of Hungarian car owners use a car 16 years or older, which they bought for between HUF 1 million-3 mln Használtautó.hu announced, based on an online representative survey conducted in September with researcher GKID.

The average age of motor vehicles in Hungary is 14.5 years.

Based on the survey results, the average domestic car owner spends between HUF 50,000 and HUF 250,000 per year on maintenance, while waiting at least five years for a replacement.

Average car owners in Hungary would typically pay around HUF 3.8 mln for a gasoline or diesel used car that is no more than eight years old.
