Consumer prices in Hungary rose by an annual 2.1 percent in July, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said on Tuesday. As in June, prices were unchanged in a monthly comparison. Twelve-month CPI picked up from 1.9 percent in June and was slightly over analysts’ estimates.

In a 115-49 vote, the assembly approved a request for an emergency parliamentary procedure, and will vote on the bill before noon on Tuesday. Prime Minister Viktor Orbán (pictured above) voted in favor of the expedited procedure.
