The Prodigy Set to Headline SopronFest 2026

Since their formation in 1990, The Prodigy has remained at the forefront of electronic music innovation. Driven by Liam Howlett’s production and an unmatched stage energy, they became a defining force of festival culture at the turn of the millennium.
Tracks like Firestarter, Voodoo People, No Good, Out of Space, and Smack My Bitch Up have become cross-generational anthems.
Following the tragic passing of frontman Keith Flint in 2019, the band took an extended break, leaving fans wondering if they would ever tour again. Their eventual return proved that the demand for their high-octane performances is stronger than ever.
In 2025, they headlined major international stages including Glastonbury and Coachella, while their upcoming UK and Ireland arena tour for April 2026 became the fastest-selling in the band's history.
For years, The Prodigy were frequent visitors to Hungary, regularly packing out main stages at Sziget, Balaton Sound, and VOLT. Their performance at SopronFest on July 4 will mark a long-awaited homecoming to the Hungarian festival circuit.
Now in its fourth year, SopronFest has established itself as an "urban-themed" festival that activates the entire city. During the first week of July, dozens of venues across Sopron host culinary events, live podcasts, art exhibitions, and literary evenings.
The main musical programming at the Lővérek runs from July 2 to July 4, featuring The Prodigy alongside a lineup of Hungary’s biggest current artists, including Azahriah, Dzsúdló, Beton.Hofi, Pogány Induló, Manuel, and Parno Graszt.
Early bird tickets are available from December 16 through Christmas.
