The number of guest nights at hotels and other commercial accommodations in Hungary rose by an annual 1.5 percent to 2,567,000 in June, data released by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) on Thursday show. Guest nights spent by Hungarians rose by 4.3 percent to 1,342,000.

Unless the level of development of the country’s economy reaches the European average, the move could be detrimental, he said.
